Mike Pence warns Christian graduating seniors
Vice President Mike Pence warned graduating seniors at Liberty University that they will be mocked and attacked for their Christian faith once they leave the campus of their Christian college. Pence made the remarks May 11 at Liberty University’s 2019 commencement in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pence urged students to remain steadfast and not crumble in the face of unprecedented attacks — both verbal and physical — against Christians.
He warned that these attacks will come from the media, a “bevy of Hollywood liberals,” and “the secular left.”
Pence pointed to the example of Hollywood leftists (like Alyssa Milano) protesting George’s new “heartbeat law,” that bans abortions after six weeks, which is when a fetal heartbeat is detected.
“Some of the loudest voices for tolerance today have little tolerance for traditional Christian beliefs,” Pence said . “So as you go about your daily life, just be ready.”
