"Everyone here today is united by a shared conviction. We know that our nation is stronger, our future is brighter, and our joy is greater when we turn to God and ask him to shed his grace on our lives," Trump said. "All of us here today reaffirm these timeless truths: Faith keeps us free. Prayer makes us strong. And God alone is the author of life and the giver of grace."
The 68th annual National Prayer Breakfast was held today in Washington, DC on Thursday, Feb. 6, and President Donald Trump spoke at this morning’s main event.
More than 3,500 people were invited to attend this year’s breakfast – among them elected officials as well as religious and political leaders from both parties, and dignitaries from other countries, like Vice President-elect Lai Ching-te of Taiwan and Tristan Azbej, State Secretary for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and for the Hungary Helps Program.
