After the attacks in France, African terror groups incite Muslims to terrorism
The Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and Al-Shabaab terror groups both released messages praising the terror attacks in France, and invited Muslims to emulate this kind of attacks.
AQIM is one of the most fearful terror groups in West Africa, that carries out lethal attacks in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. In their statement, they say:
“Killing the one who insults the prophet is the right of every Muslim capable of applying it.” They also say that those who hear someone blaspheme Muhammad do not have to ask permission to kill, they should just do it if possible.
Al-Shabaab is one of the three largest and most violent terrorist groups in the world. They are active in Somalia, mainly in South Somalia. This group also made statements saying that Muslims need to continue attacks like the recent stabbing of several civilians and the beheading of a teacher in France.
Unfortunately, these terror groups have a great influence in Africa, so Christians in those regions are now cumulatively exposed to persecution. Furthermore, the recent terror attacks in France and Austria have animated the radical Islamists and inspired them to carry out assassination attempts.
