Man threatens the faithful with death during a Mass in France
In the afternoon of the 8th of February, a forty-two-year-old man entered the church of Saint-Bonaventure, in the centre of the French city of Lyon, where he knocked down candles and began to threaten the sacristan with death.
After being asked to be more respectful of the place, he pretended to have a pistol in his hands. Police were dispatched to the scene and arrested the man, who turned out to be a homeless alcoholic. He was taken into custody.
Sources say he is “very unfavourably” known to the police.
