An adolescent tried to set a church on fire in France

On the 28th of January, a fourteen-year-old adolescent tried to set a Catholic church on fire in San Malo, western France.

The parishioners of the Notre-Dame de Rocabey church discovered burned paper and cartons at four locations in the church, on the morning of the 29th of January. One of the focal points was in the wooden confessional.

The papers were lit by a fourteen-year-old boy, who intended to set the church on fire. The boy pleaded his guilt but did not say the reason for doing so.  He will be summoned before a juvenile judge.
